Tour Overview

The  Rainforest Drift is an experience not to be missed.  We drift down through the crystal clear waters of Fresh Water Creek surrounded by lush tropical rain forest.  Most parts of the tour, the water runs slow, so we can spot wild life, but along the way we experience exhilarating fast waters that add to the adventure.   We stock off at 2 swimming holes and go for a swim or a snorkel to see if we can spot some wild life. Wildlife includes, jungle perch, fresh water turtles, other freshwater tropical fishes, water lizards and monitors.

Tour Structure

After meeting at Goomboora Park, we head up the Redlynch Valley in the Pacific Watersports Van to the Rocks Road entrance to the creek.  We go through an introduction to the tour at Rocks Road and then hit the water.  We have a choice of kayaks and SUPs available for the tour (8 SUP and 8 river kayaks).  If you are new to kayaking or SUP, thats fine, we will give you full instruction on what to do on the tour.

Once we hit the water, the adventure begins.  We stop off at some beautiful fresh water holes along the way for a break and a bit of exploration.  We usually see plenty of fresh water tropical fish and sometimes even spot fresh water turtles.

The tour goes for 2 - 2.5 hours and at the end of the tour we come out at Goomboora Park.

If you are keen to a rainforest adventure in a more unique and exciting way, this tour is perfect for you.  Its nice and close to Cairns City so it is the perfect morning tour.
